SPA BALLSTON Catharine A. Wagner, 88, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017.

Born in Ballston Spa, NY on January 16, 1929, she was the daughter of Morris and Bernice Whalen. Kay was a graduate of Ballston Spa High School and St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing.

Kay was a Registered Nurse for many years, working at the original Benedict Memorial Hos Hos Ballston pital in Ballston Spa and continuing when the pital relocated to Rowland Street in Spa.

She was an active municant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ballston Spa where she served as a Eucharisti­c Minister and a member of the Funeral Ministry.

Kay lovingly cared for her great nephew Will and was a strong supporter of the CdLS Foundation.

She was predecease­d by her husband Edwin and her brother Morris “Little Mickey”. Kay is survived by her sister Eileen Swart, brother Thomas Whalen (Elaine); and her beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10am Friday, May 12 at St. Mary’s Church, Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa, where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.

Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ballston Spa.
