Streaks girls lax edge Bison 13-12

LATHAM, N.Y. » Katie Wendell, Lindsey Frank and Sophia Burke each scored hat tricks for Saratoga Springs’ girls lacrosse team in a 13-12 Suburban Council road win over Shaker.

Meave Lennon scored six goals to lead Shaker while goalkeeper Emily Posinello made 15 saves. Abbie Searles made 14 saves for Saratoga Springs, who improved to 9-1 in league play and 12-2 overall. TAMARAC 9, STILLWATER 2 » Jake Scharnott went 3-for-4 with six RBIs for the Bengals in a Wasaren League win. Jake Mulligan picked up the win on the mound while Zack Travis took the loss for the Warriors.

SHENENDEHOWA 12, TROY 1 » Sophia Caputo went 3-for-4 with an RBI while Calley Cutitta and Brandi Markowski had two hits apiece for the Planismen. SHAKER 25, ALBANY 0 » Bella Spadinger hit a home run and drove in five runs while Allie Lajelnesse went 3-for-5 with four RBIs for the Blue Bison. Nicole McCarvill allowed four hits and one earned run to earn the win in the circle while Serafina French took the loss for the Flying Horses.
