Shen loses lax final to Guilderland
GUILDERLAND 9, SHENENDEHOWA 8» Katherine Futia scored the championship-winning goal with 21.7 seconds left in overtime to beat Shen and win the Class A title. Shen had come back the whole game to force a tie late, but Guilderland got possession to start the overtime period.

BURNT HILLS 3, SCOTIA-GLENVILLE 2» Scotia tied it with a 2-run home run by Naudia Smith in the top of the seventh.
In the bottom of the seventh Burnt Hills had a walk-off hit by pitch.

High School Baseball
The Class AA final between Niskayuna and Shen scheduled for Thursday evening was postponed. It will now be played at 1 p.m. at Joe Bruno Stadium in Troy.
College Baseball
ALBANY 7, BINGHAMTON 3 » No. 4 seed Albany shocked No. 1 seed Binghamton to inch closer to their first NCAA Tournament in 10 years. Binghamton had won 30-of-38 coming into the contest, but was outmatched by the Great Danes. Albany got out to a 4-0 lead in the third inning, and never gave up the lead. The game was delayed three hours and 45 minutes at the start due to rain. The Great Danes will play the winner of UMBC and Stony Brook tomorrow evening. If Albany wins their next two games, they’ll win the conference.
