Anthony Julio Carella

SARATOGA SPRINGS - Anthony Julio Carella passed away peacefully in his sleep at Saratoga Hospital on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at the age of 77.

Born on June 4, 1940 in Troy, NY he was the son of the late Giacinto and Caroline (Napolitane) Carella.

Anthony was a retired chemical operatorop­er for GE and a diver in the US Navy in 1962, and later as a diver in constructi­on. Anthony will always be remembered as a devoted family man and beloved friend who generously gave his time to the ones he loved.

Anthony leaves behind his wife of over 46 years, Barbara Jean Senecal, their only son Michael and his wife Sandy of CliftonCli­f Park,ark, NY and 3 beloved grandchild­ren: Samantha, Kara and Cassidy. He is predecease­d by his brother Augustine and sister Carmella.

Calling hours will be held on June 13, 2017 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Tunison Funeral Home 105 Lake Ave. Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

Service will follow the calling hour at 11:00am. Burial, with full military honors, will take place at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd. Schuypm. lerville, NY 12871 at 12:30

Eugene L. “Gino” Williams

SARATOGA SPRINGS - Eugene L. “Gino” Williams, age 84, formerly of Saratoga Springs, New York, passed away on Tuesday,Tuesday June 6, 2017, at the Washington Center for Rehabilita­tion and Healthcare, surrounded by his loving family.

Gino was born on March 5, 1933, in Paterson, New Jersey, the son of the late Arthur Williams and Anna Murano Williams.

Although he had many jobs during his life, Gino was most proud of his longtime work as a Drug & Alcohol Counselor at Mount McGregor Correction­al Facility in Wilton, New York.

Gino inspired everyone he met with his kind and loving personalit­y. When he wasn’t helping others, he enjoyed doing what he loved which was traveling, painting and music, as well as spending time on Chateaugay Lake in the Adirondack­s.

His remarkable artistic talent is forever present in his many beautiful paintings. His life, unique gifts, wordless love, humility, integrity, and hard work continue to inspire those who knew him and all who met him. His true devotion remains evident in how he raised his children and how much he loved his grandchild­ren. Gino was loved by many, and he will be deeply missed.

Gino is survived by his beloved wife Judy DeLong, with whom he shared a fun filled life; daughters, Christina Williams and Dara Lanier (Jason); son, Jondavid DeLong (Laura); sisters, Marlene Mercaldi and Roseanne Belford; brothers-in-law, John SamBill Sampica (Judy), and Roland Tatro; sisterspic­a, in-law, Ann Perry (Bradley) and Cindy Sampica; seven grandchild­ren and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Arthur “Sonny” Williams, and several siblings-in law.

William J. Zabala

SARATOGA SPRINGS - William J. Zabala, 87, of Jumel Place, passed to the Lord on the June 7,7 2017 af after a long illness.

He was born on Novemof ber 14, 1929 and is the son the late Stephen and Veronica Zabala of Greenfield Center. William was an Army Veteran who served our country in the Korean War. Upon his return home, he worked for many years at the Watervliet Arsenal and for the Local Operator Engineers.

In addition to his par( ents, William is preceded in death by his loving wife Catherine (Cassie Delay) Zabala and his brothers Paul Zabala and Joseph Skibic.

He is survived by his brother, Steve Zabala (Mary) of Saratoga Springs; his four children, William M. Zabala (Cyrill) of Greenville, South Carolina, Lori Smero (Steve) of Saratoga Springs, Joanne Zabala of Saratoga Springs, and Edward (Ted) Zabala of Charlotte, North Carolina; his dear friend Ronnie Spillane of Saratoga Springs; and four grandchild­ren Anna Smero, Stephen Smero, Rachel Smero and Williamlia­m Jacinto Zabala.

Relatives and friends may call Monday, June 12, 2017 from 5-7pm at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniffff, Inc. Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs.

A funeral service will be celebrated Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 10am at the funeral home by Reverend Thomas H. Chevalier, Chevalier pas pas Cemetery, tor. Burial with military honors will follow in the family plot at St. Peter’s West Ave.
