Ronald J. Nichols

BALLSTON SPA - Ronald J. Nichols, 82, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017. Born in Greenwich, NY on November 14, 1934, he was the son of Clayton and Mattie Nichols. He served in the US Navy.

Ron was an equipment operator for Lang Brothers and D. A. Collins Construction for many years, retiring in 1994. He enjoying fishing and vacationing in Maine. He was a Nascar fan and spent many weekends at the Albana-Saratoga Speedway watching his son race on the dirt track.

Ron is survived by his wife Shirley; their children Rhonda Hodsoll (Duane) of Greenfield and Keith Nich ols (Elaine) of Ballston Spa; grandsons Clint Nichols (Bee), Eric Hodsoll tina and her Lilly) and Clifford Hodsoll (Jessica); brother Richard Nichols of Keeseville; sister Phyllis Jennings (Don) of Florida and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services with military honors will be held 12:30pm Wednesday, June 14 at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga Nation al Cemetery, Duell Road, Schuylerville. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at the cemetery at 12:15pm.
