Corinth High names honor graduates

CORINTH, N.Y. » The Corinth Central School district has announced the honor graduates of the class of 2017.

Beau DenBesten, son of Kim DenBesten of Porter Corners and Todd DenBesten of Volatia, is this year’s valedictor­ian. DenBesten is a member of the National Honor Society, Foreign Language Honor Society, and the Science Honor Society. Beau is also the student representa­tive to the Corinth Central School District Board of Education, Student Senate, and the American Legion’s Boys State representa­tive. He was also a member of the varsity Football and Track and Field teams. He plans to attend SUNY Binghamton in the fall.

Michael All, son of David and Rita All of Corinth, is this year’s salutatori­an. All is a member of the National Honor Society, Foreign Language Honor Society, and Science Honor Society. He is also a WAVE peer leader, member of the Student Senate, and Foreign Language Club. All represente­d Corinth at the American Legion’s Boys State as a junior. He was also a member of Corinth’s Varsity Soccer, Cross Country, Track and Field teams, as well as, the AYHA program. All plans to attend Clarkson University in September.

Morgan Baker, daughter of Greg and Lori Baker of Corinth, plans to attend James Madison University next fall. Baker is a member of the National Honor Society, Foreign Language Honor Society, and Science Honor Society. In addition, Baker is the co-president of the Student Senate and senior class co-treasurer. She is also a peer leader for the WAVE program and a member of YAC, which supports Corinth’s Unified Basketball team. In addition, Baker is a member of the varsity Field Hockey and Softball teams and also served as the scorekeepe­r for Corinth’s Wrestling program.

Emily Jackson, daughter of Michael and Rachel Jackson of Corinth, will attend SUNY Adirondack in the fall. Jackson is a member of the National Honor Society and the Foreign Language Honor Society. Jackson is also a member of the Varsity Track and Cross Country Teams, as well as, the Varsity Club. In addition, Jackson participat­es in Senior and Select Chorus.

Maddison Dockum, daughter of Sherri and Chuck Dockum of Greenfield Center, plans to attend the University at Buffalo in September. Dockum is a member of the National Honor Society, Science Honor Society, and the Foreign Language Honor Society. She has also served as a class officer, a member of the Student Senate and Varsity Club. In addition, Dockum is a member of Corinth’s varsity Field Hockey, Basketball, and Track teams.

Trae Dumas is the son of Michelle Hayes of Lake Luzerne and Brian Dumas of Corinth. He plans to attend SUNY Geneseo in the fall. While in high school, Dumas was a member of the National Honor Society as well as the Science Honor Society. He also served as captain of the Varsity Soccer team.

Gracelyn Germain, is the daughter of Laurie and James Germain of Porter Corners. Germain will attend SUNY Adirondack in September. Germain is a member of the National Honor Society. She participat­ed in the Drama Club, Library Club, Chorus, and was a member of the varsity Tennis team.

Kody Quackenbus­h, is the son of Kari Brown-Lagoy of Corinth. Quackenbus­h will attend SUNY Adirondack in the fall. Quackenbus­h was a member of the National Honor Society, the Drama Club and was also active in the Boy Scouts of America throughout high school.

Cheyenne Dingman, is the daughter of Terra Dingman and William Dingman of Corinth. Dingman plans to attend SUNY Adirondack in September. Dingman is a member of the Foreign Language Honor Society. She was also a member of the varsity Field Hockey and Basketball teams.

Brooke Emery is the daughter of Gary Emery Jr. and Jennifer Emery, of Corinth. Emery will attend SUNY Geneseo in the fall. Emery participat­ed in the New Visions Program during her senior year of high school. She is also a member of the National Honor Society, the Foreign Language Honor Society, the Science Honor Society, and the Technical Honor Society. She was a member of SADD, FCCLA, YAC, Chess Club, and the Quiz Bowl Team. In addition, Emery is a member of the varsity Field Hockey, Basketball and Track teams.

Samuel Kramer, is the son of Ryan and Janet Kramer of Corinth. Kramer will attend SUNY Adirondack in the fall. While in high school, he participat­ed in varsity Football, Rugby, and the Library Club.
