BALLSTON SPA - John “Jack” S. Wilson, 83, passed away on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 18, 2017 sur-rounded by his loving family. Born in Amsterdam, NY on July 17, 1933, he was the son of Samuel and Bessie Wilson. He was a ate of Ballston Spa High School, of 1951.
Jack worked at General Electric Co in Schenectady and Roanoke, Virginia, for over 40 years. He was an avid cyclist and enjoyed tennis, golfing and woodworking. He was a car enthusiast.
Jack was a devoted ther, grandfather and great grandfather. He treasured the time he spent with his family.
He was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Bessie; sister Beverly and brother Samuel. Jack is survived by his sister Esther Miller; his children Kathleen Cleary (Bob), Patricia Green (Chuck), Diane Streit (John), Janice vord (Todd), Peter Wilson, Linda Gawrys (Jeff), and their mother Joan Schwab; grandchildren Miles, bra (Scott), Josh (Amanda), Mindy, Jody (Adam), Jona- than (Ashley), Eric becca), Elizabeth (Brian), Lucas, Cody, Dane, Kate, Brant and Kristen; great grandchildren Pearl, Issac, Emogene, Caroline, Delilah, Zoe, Ava, Helena and Arianna; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10am Friday, June 23 at First Presbyterian Church, 22 West High Street, Ballston Spa. Burial will follow in Ballston Spa Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 22 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa.
