Locally made juices will be sold at Price Chopper, Market 32
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. » Local juice-makers Saratoga Juice Bar will soon have products on the shelves of Price Chopper and Market 32.
The Spa City-based company’s 12-ounce cold pressed juices will be available at all 135 stores throughout New York, Vermont, Massachusetts and Connecticut by the end of the month.
“As a homegrown company, it’s always a thrill to introduce excellent quality products to our Price Chopper and Market 32 customers that are manufactured and produced right here at home,” said Price Chopper and Market 32 spokeswoman Mona Golub on adding Saratoga Juice Bar products to stores.
Additionally, Saratoga Juice Bar has developed a new 32-ounce carrot juice product at the company’s request.
In the past few years, Saratoga Juice Bar has secured many wholesale accounts with grocery chains including Hannaford, Wegmans and Whole Foods.
“We’ve been growing pretty dramatically, so to be in our hometown grocer is a very important goal of ours, because they are in our community and this is where we are from,” said co-owner Colin MacLean, who operates the business with his wife Christel.
“It was a huge goal and it’s a huge win for us, and we’re really happy to be working with them,” Christel added. “We’re so excited.”
The MacLeans started Saratoga Juice Bar in 2013 at 382 Broadway in Saratoga Springs. In just less than four years, the business has grown tremendously. Most of the company’s production now takes place at a facility in Brooklyn, while the flagship Saratoga Springs store still offers freshly pressed juice to customers seven days a week.
