Eileen F. Gailor
SARATOGA SPRINGS - Eileen F. Gailor, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. During her final days, she gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life.
She was born on June 22, 1929 in Victory Mills, NY, the daughter of the late Virgil Cormie and Cath Waters erine Cormie.
She always held her childhood days in and around Victory Mills near and dear to her heart and as a teen gradumarworklandher ager she moved to Saratoga Springs where she ated high school, class of 1946. In 1953, she ried and continued ing at Thompson Laundry in Saratoga Springs while starting a family and scaping business with husband Ernest. Her most precious moments were those spent with her fa mimemc hi lsu pit ly. She enjoyed many years of vacations at Cape Cod and had many fond ories of time spent there with family and friends. Although she had five dren she advocated, ported and protected each one individually as if were her only child. She was a strong woman who gave of herself and expected nothing in return. Her love of family was boundless and she always enjoyed her time spent with old friends, especially Smitty who always called her a real lady. Eileen was truly the matriarch of the family.isShe is survived by her sons, Ernest J. Gailor (Gail), Michael V. Gailor (Mary), Steven J. Gailor, Peter Gailor; daughter, Jugrand nephews lie Gailor; brother James Cormie (Del); grandsons, Jeremy, Jason, Mike, Cole, Alex Gailor and daughter, Mary Gailor, as well as many nieces, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ernest N. Gailor and grandson, Sean Gailor.
A mass will be held at 10 am on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Notre Dame Visitation Church, 18 Pearl St, Schuylerville, NY 12871. Family and friends may call on Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), SaraYork. toga Springs, New
