Library to close for July 4 holiday

The Saratoga Springs Public Library will be closed Tuesday, July 4 in observance of Independen­ce Day.

The 2017 Summer Reading Program for children, teens and adults is underway. Signing up is fast and easy and can be done in person at the library or online at www.sspl. org.

Programs for preschoole­rs include Library Babies, 10:30 a.m. to noon Friday, July 7. No registrati­on is required.

Programs for children continue with Paws4Readi­ng with Mika, 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, and Paws4Readi­ng with Buck, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday; Scholastic Summer Road Trip, 2-4 p.m. Thursday. Visit the events calendar on the library website for more informatio­n.

Teen programs for students in grades 6-12 include Teen Room Movie Night, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday. No registrati­on is required.

Adult programs continue with Artists in Action: Digital Painting with Jennifer Armstrong, noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, and Life is Short: Short Story Reading Discussion, 10:30 a.m. to noon Friday, July 7. No registrati­on is required for either program.

Computer classes continue this week with Intro to Computers & MS Windows for Absolute Beginners; Apple iPhones: The Basics and Beyond the Basics; and Computer Practice Session. Visit the library website for a full schedule or to register.
