Free concert series starts today

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. » The Saratoga Summer Concert Series returns for its 2017 season in Congress Park on July 2.

This free, family-friendly event is a program of the Saratoga Heritage Area Visitor Center in cooperatio­n with the Saratoga Convention and Tourism Bureau and the city of Saratoga Springs.

Shows begin at 7 p.m. at the War Memorial in Congress Park and each concert will run for approximat­ely 90 minutes. The concert rain location is at The Saratoga Heritage Area Visitor Center at 297 Broadway.

The concert dates and performers as follows:

• Sunday, July 2 — Betsy and the ByeGons: 60’s girl-group sound with classic rock edge. Visit www.betsyandth­ebyegons.com to learn more.

• Sunday, July 9 — Fenimore Blues: an eclectic mix of blues, rock and R & B. Learn more on their Facebook page.

• Sunday, July 16 — Skippy & the Pistons: entertaini­ng audiences throughout New England, Skippy & the Pistons offers music for everyone.

• Sunday, July 23 — Hot Club of Saratoga: Saratoga/Capital Region’s premier gypsy swing ensemble with style originated from Django Reinhardt and Stephanie Grappelli. Learn more at www. hotclubofs­aratoga.com.

• Tuesday, Aug. 8 — Cryin’ Out Loud: the greatest hits of pop, R&B, country, disco, Motown and classic rock. www.cryinoutlo­udlive.com for details.
