Many candidates for elections in Nov.
BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. » The following candidates have filed petitions with Saratoga County Board of Elections to run for office in November’s general election.
In Saratoga Springs, Democrat candidates are: Meg Kelly for mayor; John Franck, commissioner of accounts; Michelle Madigan, commissioner of finance; Peter Martin, commissioner of public safety; Tara Gaston and Patricia Friesen, city supervisor; Francine Vero, city judge.
Republican candidates are Mark Baker for mayor; Donald Braim, commissioner of public safety; Anthony Scirocco, commissioner of public works; Andrew Blumenberg, city judge; John Safford and Matthew Veitch, city supervisor.
In Wilton, Democrat candidates are: Nancy Dwyer for supervisor; Ken Garcia and Paula Tancredi-Penman for town council; Eric Rosenberg for justice; John Helenek for highway superintendent.
Republican candidates are: Arthur Johnson for supervisor; John McEachron and Duane Bogardus for town council; Gerald Worth for justice; Kirklin Woodcock for highway superintendent; Sue Baldwin for town clerk.
In Malta, Democrat candidates are: William Breheny for supervisor; Tracy O’Rourke and Cynthia Young for town council; Michelle Storm for town justice.
Republican candidates are: Vincent DeLucia for supervisor; John Hartzell and Sharon Schiera for town
council; Steven Gottmann for town justice; Roger Crandall for highway superintendent; Jennifer Holmes Golden for town clerk.
In Mechanicville, Democrat candidates are: Anthony Sylvester for mayor; Anthony Gotti for commissioner of public works; Josephine Pisculli for commissioner of accounts. Tony Del Vecchio and Ronald Rose will face each other in a September primary to determine the party’s candidate for commissioner of public safety.
Republican candidates are: Dennis Baker for mayor; Kimberly Dunn, commissioner of accounts; Jody Gilheany, commissioner of finance; Barbara McGuire, commissioner of public safety; Ralph Verdile, commissioner of public works.
In Milton, Democrat candidates are Sergia Coffey and Meg Stevens for town council; Mark Juda for town council.
Republican candidates Barbara Kerr and Scott Ostrander will face off in a primary for supervisor. Frank Blaisdell, James Frey and John Frolish will compete in a primary for two town council seats. The GOP’s only other candidate is Tim Brown for town justice.
In Stillwater, Democrat candidates are: Justine Culora and Michael Finck for town council; Ralph Peluso for justice; Amy Williams for tax collector.
Republican candidates are: Ed Kinowski for supervisor; Arthur Baker and Ken Petronis for town council; Ed Richardson for justice; Mark Minick for highway superintendent; Sue Cunningham, town clerk; Danielle Cowin, tax collector.
Numerous candidates are also running on the Conservative, Working Families, Green, Independence, Women’s Equality and Reform party lines.
Many candidates throughout the county are running uncontested for various town positions.
