BALLSTON SPA VILLAGE CEMETERY: The Ballston Spa Cemetery Associatio­n is looking for volunteers to help with several projects in the village cemetery. People are needed for gravestone cleaning, fence painting, brush trimming. TANG FAMILY SATURDAYS: “Cabinets of Curiousity” looks at David Ireland’s playful cabinet of curiosity, “Spanish Corner Cabinet,” in the exhibition: “If I Had Possession Over Judgement Day: Collection­s of Claude Simard.” Ireland includes ice cream dishes, colored rectangles, a spool of wire and other unusual objects inside his wooden cabinet. Build a cabinet from cardboard boxes, then add little trinkets made out of various materials to put on the shelves. The program runs from 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Tang Museum, Skidmore Collge, and is free and open to the public. Suitable for children ages 5 and up along with their adult companions. THANK YOU PARTY: The Galway Lions Club is hosting a Thank You Party in celebratio­n of the community’s 35 years of support on Saturday, July 29, from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the Galway Lions Building, 2167 County Route 45 in Galway. The event is free and open to the entire community, both children and adults. There will be soccer, volleyball, Frisbee toss, softball, face painting, a demonstrat­ion by the Galway Karate Club, a visit from a friendly therapy dog, live music and food.
