Angeline J. (D’Agostino) O’Rourke

SARATOGA SPRINGS Angeline J. (D’Agostino) O’Rourke, 89, a native of Saratoga Springs, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, August 22, 2017 at home. Her devotion to her family and friends and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

Born on March 12, 1928, she was the eldest daughSpens­impreComfa­mter of the late Giuseppe and Jean (Levo) D’Agostino. She is also predecease­d by her husband of 38 years William O’Rourke, her brother Philip D’Agostino, her sister Mary Spensieri and niece Robbie ieri. In addition to her mediate family, she is deceased by sister-in-law Frances and brother-in law Michael Harrison. Angie graduated from Saratoga Springs High School and worked as a bank teller for Adirondack Trust pany for over 40 years. A place she admirably called her second home and ily. Angie enjoyed giving of her time and the social aspect to many organizaCh­urch. tions including the Ladies of Charity (as treasurer), Catholic Daughters of the Americas and volunteere­d at Saratoga Hospital. She was a devout Catholic and communican­t of St. Clement’s Roman Catholic

Gail Ann Favata

HUDSON FALLS – Gail Ann Favata, 64, passed away surrounded by her loving family on August 24, 2017. At Saratoga Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on March 3, 1953, in Rochester, she was the daughter of the late ElCannon. wood and Leona (Bradt)

Gail was a graduate of Rush Henrietta Central School District in Henrietta.

She worked for 37 years for the New York State DeTranspor­taof partment of tion and was a member the Civil Service Employgogr­anddaughen­her ee’s Associatio­n (CSEA). She loved antiquing, flea markets gardening and home décor. Gail loved ing to the ocean, especially Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Her grandchild­ren were her life. She also loved to shop for her ter Emma. Gail also joyed travelling with life partner, Peter LaPlante.

In addition to her ents, she is predecease­d by her brother, Gordon Cannon.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Fisher and her husband, Jason of Saratoga Springs and Cammie Smith and her husband, Russell; her three beautiful grandchild­ren, Jordan Buchas, Jake Potter and Emma Potter; her step grandchild­ren, Rusty, Hantwin nah and Logan Smith; her life partner, Peter LaPlante of Hudson Falls; the father of her children and close family friends, Joseph and Nancy Favata; and her close friends, Barb and Jim Cary; her sister, Beverly Brugno of Virginia Beach, VA and Gail’s beloved sister Judy Randall; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will take place on Friday, SepCarPenn­y tember 1, 2017 at the leton Funeral Home, Inc, 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Jeannine A. Suttle

SARATOGA SPRINGS - Jeannine A. Suttle, 64, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 10, 2017 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital, Albany, NY.

Born on November 11, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Homer A. and Anna (Boyce) Donaldson.

Besides her parents, nine is predecease­d by her husband Paul Suttle; sisDonalds­on. ters Louella (Donaldson) Stephenson and Beverly Donaldson; and brothers Homer and Charles

She is survived by her daughter Laura Sibilia; grandson Brandon Sibilia; sister Betty son) Deuel; stepchildr­en Paul Suttle Jr. and Stacey D’Andrea-Goodman. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her cat, Rosie.

She lived in Saratoga Springs, NY, where she preresided viously worked in a sleep lab as a Polysomnog­rapher. Before moving back near her hometown, she in both South Florida and Brooklyn, NY, where she worked as a Respirator­y Therapist at wellsevera­l known hospitals.

Jeannine will be missed. She had a quick, unforgetlo­ving table laugh and a generous heart, and loved to puzzle over others’ thoughts and behaviors. She held firm to her opinions and beliefs yet had a sweet and soul. She held her famreminis­cwisily and friends close to her heart even if separated by distance or circumstan­ce. Jeannine loved ing about lost loved ones, knowing that a story about them, or a word of dom from them, kept their memory forever alive. She believed her pendulum crystal technique gave her an ability to communicat­e with those who’d gone beher. fore

She enjoyed lengthy phone conversati­ons with friends and family and had a knack for staggering her calls according to others’ bedtimes. She was conwork vinced that her late night energy was a result of her hospital night shift and remained adamant that her internal clock nev2017. er readjusted. Jeannine’s final phone call was made to her daughter, Laura, and her grandson, Brandon, to whom she wished a happy 3rd birthday on July 8,

Jeannine also enjoyed golf, horses, country music, the NY Yankees, butterflie­s, the beach, her favorite TV shows, and cats. She kept an extensive supply of nail polish and was rarely seen without her unique nail designs. She was known for being somewhat tardy for occasions, which she blamed on her love of ‘acfinally cessorizin­g.’ Having gone to beauty school, she had a vision for the perfect hairdo which was realized by her friend and hairdresse­r, Paul at Brookrebed­eath. lyn Attitude.

Jeannine was grateful for the love and care she ceived from her niece and apartment mate, Brenda Donaldson, who made it possible for Jeannine to stay home until 2 days fore her

A private celebratio­n of Jeannine’s life will be held at Brown’s Beach, as one of her final wishes was to spend a day surrounded by family and friends. There we will gather in her honor, to show gratitude not only for the lives of our remainbefo­re ing friends and family, but for those loved ones, like Jeannine, who have gone on us.

Mia Mouzon

SARATOGA SPRINGS Mia Mouzon passed away quietly on Wednesday, gust 23, 2017 after a brief illness.

Mia was the first can born woman of color to graduate from Skidmore College in 1947.

Upon graduation, she moved to Miami, Florida to begin her 30 year teaching career.

Mia was an avid and ticulous reader. Up until the last week of her life she was doing legal research on the internet. RockyShey eventually­Groce and married they moved to Teaneck, New Jersey where she continued to teach second gradrefame­rs at the Beach Street School in Hackensack, NJ. She stayed there until tirement when the ily eventually returned to her birthplace, Saratoga Springs, NY.

Mia will be missed by many, as she was an expoclassy ceptionall­y intelligen­t, litically astute, sassy and woman.

She is survived by her daughter, L. Michelle Groce and her granddaugh­ter, Trinity Mouzon Wofford.

Her service will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 at the Tunison Funeral Home 105 Lake Avenue in Saratoga Springs, between the hours of 11-12.

Thereafter, the burial will be at Greenridge Cemetery in Saratoga Springs.

Robert D. “Bob” Eagan

SARATOGA SPRINGS – Robert D. “Bob” Eagan, 81, passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017, with his family and his dog “Trouble” by his side at his home here. Bob died after a long illAug. ness fighting various forms of cancer. He was born in Albany, NY, 16, 1936.

Bob Eagan was a feisty, resilient and very tough man who over his lifetime said he feared nothing, absolutely nothing, except for one thing. His one fear was that he might lose his hair from all the medication­s he had to take over the last five years. When he was called Aug. 24, he still had all his hair.

Bob grew up in North bany, where he said it was so tough that criminals wouldn’t go there. He was most proud of his North Albany heritage.

Bob worked 31 years for Niagara Mohawk, NMP (NYSE), with headquarte­rs in Syracuse, NY, retiring in 1997. He was a traveling operator who put equipAlMoa­sment into service in bany, Saratoga Springs and Glens Falls. He was known to be a very hard worker, dedicated to Niagara hawk (now National Grid).

Bob was also known to be a “quiet joker.” He liked to pretend that all work signments were beneath him and would say upon hearing the assignment “Are these the hands of a working man?”

Friends who knew Bob well knew that if he was ever upset or angry, it would take five minutes for him to forget it. He was also known as the guy who would do anything to help his friends and associates.

Bob was in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1956. He spent time in Korea, Germany and Coco Beach, FL. He graduated from Phillip Schuyler. He also was an avid fisherman, hunter and horse player, who loved Saratoga Race Course and many other U.S. tracks.

Bob’s father was John seph (Joe) Eagan and his mother was Margaret Mary Eagan.
