Organizers are excited to host renowned jam rock band Twiddle as 2017’s main Adirondack Independence Music Festival attraction. In recent years the Vermontbased group has built an impressive resume, performing a famed venues such as Red Rocks and Bonnaroo.
Twiddle’s last performance in the Capital District was to a packed crowd on New Year’s Eve at Albany’s Palace Theatre, and now they’re back for some summer fun on Lake George. The band’s live performances include instrumental improvisational jams that reflect a spectrum of musical influences including rock, jazz, bluegrass, reggae and funk. Fans will hear plenty of this on Sunday, Sept. 3 with a two-set Twiddle performance.
Headlining on Saturday night, Sept. 2, is another well-known act called Pink Talking Fish, which performs a unique fusion of material by Pink Floyd, Talking Heads and Phish. The format of a Pink Talking Fish performance is described as Phish-like, with songs seamlessly weaving into one another, taking the audience on a musical journey.
