BUSINESS & EDUCATION NIGHT: On Wednesday, October 11, over 30 local business and higher education leaders will meet in the high school cafeteria to take part in Saratoga Springs City School District’s Business and Education Networking Night. The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. During this event, a select group of teachers and students will present out some innovative projects they are planning for the upcoming school year, and look to partner with a local business or higher education leader to further enhance their lessons.

City Mission Executive Director Mike Saccocio’s spiritual journey and 30+ year career at the Mission, and the inspiring/tragic stories of Mission residents who impacted Mike’s life. MOREAU LAKE STATE PARK: Mud Pond Hike, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. This pretty flat hike starts off on the nature trail and heads out to Mud Pond to see some beaver lodges and possibly other fun wildlife. PICKINS’ SESSION: Get Ready for a great evening of music. On Wednesday, October 11, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., the popular Ballston Area Seniors Pickins’ Session will be held at the Milton Community Center, 310 Northline Road, Ballston Spa. PSAT: Saratoga Springs High School will offer the PSAT at 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11. The PSAT is a practice exam sponsored by the College Board aimed predominat­ely at juniors who plan to attend four-year colleges. Since the PSAT is only given once a year, this is the only opportunit­y for juniors to take a practice standardiz­ed exam similar to the SAT. PSAT registrati­on will be held from September 13 through October 6. There will be no registrati­on cost for this exam.

BURNERS U.K. REUNION: On Friday, October 13, Saratoga Casino Hotel will host legendary Capital Region party rockers The Burners U.K. for a reunion show in Vapor. The show will mark the first time the high-energy party band has played together since 2013. A portion of all ticket proceeds will go directly to ‘To Life!’ – a local non-profit that works to educate and alleviate the burdens of a breast cancer diagnosis for patients and their families.
