Saratoga Springs needs a progressive mayor

-

Saratoga Springs voters will be choosing a new mayor soon and for our city the

stakes couldn’t be higher. Meg Kelly is an easy choice if you really care about the

city’s future and big issues dealing with city wide growth and the environment.

Going forward, we need a no-nonsense progressive leader for Saratoga Springs that is anything but status quo. Her views on a more comprehensive solution to the city’s parking problem

downtown coupled with smart-growth approaches to building projects that actually

benefit our city while protecting our residential neighborhoods is a refreshing

message that will serve this city well.

I’ve come to know Meg Kelly over the years through her work with the Saratoga

Children’s Theater and now in her new roll as Saratoga Springs’ deputy mayor. Meg

Kelly is sincere, smart and knowledgeable about the complex issues facing our city.

Perhaps most importantly, Meg Kelly has the passion and the knowhow for doing

what’s right for Saratoga Springs and not what’s politically expedient. If you are

looking for someone who’s already wired into the politics and drama of City Hall

then maybe she’s not your choice.

If you want the best candidate to serve our city then join with me and let’s do

Saratoga Springs and its residents a big favor. On Nov. 7, elect Meg Kelly

mayor. Lynn Pohl Saratoga Springs
