Hoosick Falls field hocky improves to 11-1

HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. » Hoosick Falls improved to 11-1 after a 2-0 win over Emma Willard on Monday. Lillian Hickey scored both goals, one in each half, to hold up the 10 saves from Zoe Gress. Zian Taylor had five saves for Emma Willard on the afternoon. GLENS FALLS, N.Y. » The Adirondack Thunder announced today that they have added forward Troy Bourke and defenseman Nick Trecapelli to the roster.

Bourke was assigned to the Thunder from the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch. The 5-10 winger has appeared in 207 AHL games throughout his profession­al career, including stops in Lake Erie, San Antonio and Syracuse. Bourke set profession­al career highs during the 201617 season as he appeared in 74 games with San Antonio and collected 24 points (915-24). The Edmonton, AB native has also appeared in 25 games (nine regular season, 16 playoff) at the ECHL level with the Fort Wayne Komets, where he scored at over a point-pergame pace with 27 points (12-15-27).

Trecapelli was acquired from the Brampton Beast in exchange for future considerat­ions. The Guleph, ON native has skated profession­ally over the past two seasons, including seven games with the AHL’s Binghamton Senators in 2016. Trecapelli has also appeared in 43 ECHL games with Evansville, Wichita and Atlanta, where he amassed 15 points (5-10-15). Prior to beginning his profession­al career, the 6-2 blueliner skated for four seasons at the University of Guleph, where he amassed 65 points (12-53-65) in 101 games played.

The Thunder also announced that they have released Jack Ceglarski, Evan Neugold and Mark Petaccio from their tryout deals. Callie Woodell had 20 saves for Glens Falls on the afternoon. ORCHARD CREEK, N.Y. » Austin Fox of Bethlehem shot a 73 in Section II sectionals on Tuesday to lead all players. Nolan Crowley of Saratoga shot a 74 to come in second place. Paul Goetz of Shenendeho­wa came in third with 75 shots. Will Braxton, of Saratoga, tied for fourth with 77 shots.
