Friesen selflessly makes city better

I do not live in Saratoga Springs. But I do live in Saratoga County. However, I do shop, eat, exercise, walk, socialize, volunteer, continue my education, and enjoy all the art, the culture, and the beauty in Saratoga Springs.

Therefore I have an interest in the politics of Saratoga Springs. I would like to continue to enjoy this little gem of a city and I would like to see it continue to prosper.

Almost a year ago, I had the pleasure of meeting a woman in Saratoga Springs who literally “blew me away” with all the selfless things she was doing for the betterment of Saratoga Springs.

Not only did she and does she volunteer for all kinds of causes, most recently planting trees, in Saratoga, but she supports new entrepeneurs, as well as older businesses, the arts, and the plight of the homeless, to name a few of her endeavors. At the moment she has another idea that I’m sure will come to fruition for the benefit of all of us. Once she gets an idea for the betterment of this community, there is no stopping her, i.e. Northshire Bookstore.

This impressive, persevering, seemingly tireless woman is presently running for county supervisor representing Saratoga Springs. I wish I could vote for her, but again I don’t live there, I just visit Saratoga every day. I hope those of you who do live in Saratoga will give Pat Friesen the nod and vote for her on Nov. 7.
