CAPITAL REGION JEWISH GENEALOGY SOCIETY: The Capital Region Jewish Genealogic­al Society (CRJGS) welcomes guest speaker Nolan Altman, JewishGen’s Vice President for Data Acquisitio­n, on Sunday, October 22. Nolan will discuss the insights cemetery records can provide on the evolution of family naming convention­s, connecting generation­s of ancestors, and the significan­ce of symbols inscribed on Jewish tombstones.
