Missing Wilton teen found near his home

Saratoga County Sheriff’s deputies located Bryce Byno, 16, about 6:10 p.m. near his Wilton residence, on Route 9, which he left following an argument with his mother at about 11:15 a.m. Monday.
Sheriff Michael Zurlo described the boy as despondent and suicidal, but he was in good physical condition when police found him.
“The case is still under investigation,” Undersheriff Richard Castle said. “We’re still trying to piece together where he was during the day. No charges have been filed.”
The Byno residence is approximately a mile north of Northern Pines Road. A witness spotted
Byno walking along Route 9 about a mile south of there.
Skidmore College and SUNY Adirondack’s Wilton campus, on Route 9, cancelled classes and all evening activities. Skidmore advised students to stay in their residences.
Byno is a sophomore at Saratoga Springs High School, which was placed on lockout, meaning no one could enter or exit the building, along with the MacFadden Administration building, Maple Avenue Middle School and Dorothy Nolan Elementary School.
