Development expected to offer country living
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. » A new residential development called The Reserve at Ohonte Way is expected to offer country living within the city limits.
Kaydeross Partners is currently developing The Reserve at Ohonte Way, a new project just east of Route 9 off of Kaydeross Avenue West.
After three years of planning and city zoning approvals, this 14-acre parcel is planned to house four new building lots and the newest road within the outer district of Saratoga Springs.
The Reserve at Ohonte Way aims to bring an opportunity for homeowners wanting close proximity to downtown Saratoga Springs, the Saratoga Racetrack, Saratoga Spa State Park and Exit 13 access combined with the privacy that come with wooded home sites that range in size from two to five acres. The outer boundaries of all four parcels are part of a conservation zone that prohibits any building that would disturb the natural environment.
The four parcels are being offered for sale as a group, for a builder looking for development opportunities, as individual lots including a building contract with local builder Thomas Whipple Builders using home designs that have already been envisioned and incorporated into the master plan or as individual lots for a prospective homebuyer with their own builder in mind. Potential clients with their own plans and builder would need to have their plans approved by the LLC’s Architectural Review Board to ensure the esthetic vision of this special location is maintained.
Landscape architects at Saratoga Associates have helped the developers realize their vision for this endeavor by creating a landscaping plan that enhances the natural beauty of this property. The landscape design was created around home suggestions chosen by the developers that strive to project a tasteful esthetic that is critical to the property’s appeal.
The Reserve at Ohonte Way was named such to honor the indigenous Mohawk Native Americans from the area. Like the word Kaydeross, the word Ohonte is a Mohawk word. Ohonte translates as green or grass.
