A choice for Wilton

-

For the first time in many years we have a choice in the Wilton election for town supervisor. In these days of hyper-partisan politics, Nancy Dwyer has opted for a platform based on just the opposite. She earnestly believes in ridding government of politically charged decision making. She is registered NOP, is endorsed by the Wilton Dems, and has started her own ballot line called Public Servants.

Having lived most of my life in Wilton, I have seen the extraordinary changes that have taken place, some good, some not so good. I remember in the center of the Rt. 9 corridor there was a place called Fariyland Village, which morphed into Stan’s Flea Market, which then turned into... Well, let’s just say the current occupant of that space I would put in the not-so-good change category. Development is necessary and must be closely monitored with decisions made based on what is right for Wilton. Residents who wish to have input on decisions need good information and their input needs to be heard and considered.

As Nancy’s husband I am proud that she has stepped up and entered the political arena in an age where the public is justifiably skeptical. I know for a fact that her reasons for doing so are honest and straight forward. She is tired of partisan politics and believes that change starts at the local level. She thinks all residents need to be heard and as such she deserves to be heard also. Take a few minutes to check out DwyerForSupervisor.com or Dwyer For Wilton on facebook.

We finally have a choice, let’s not waste it. Kevin Dwyer Wilton
