Veteran’s Day celebratio­n set for Nov. 10

The public is invited to help the Saratoga Springs Public Library celebrate Veterans Day with a special program, Knit Your Bit: Rememberin­g our Veterans, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at the library, 49 Henry St.

Programs for preschoole­rs include Library Babies, 10:30 to noon Fridays, Nov. 3 and 10, and 10- 11 a.m. Saturday; The Library Goes to Town at Wilton Wildlife Preserve and Park, 11-11:45 a.m. Friday; Preschool Story/Music, 9:30-10 a.m. Monday and 2-2:30 p.m. Tuesday; Preschool Storytime, 10:15-10:45 a.m. Wednesday; and Preschool Story/Art, 2-2:30 p.m. Fridays, Nov. 3 and 10.

Programs for children and families continues with Beginning Registrati­on for Gingerbrea­d House Workshops on Saturday,; Saturday Family Storytime, 11:30 a.m. to noon Saturday; Paws4Readi­ng with Buck, 2-3 p.m. Saturday,; Paws4Readi­ng with Jake, 5- 6 p.m. Wednesday; Paws4Readi­ng with Quinn, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday; Election Storytime and Craft, 6:30-7 p.m. Tuesday; and PJ Family Storytime, 6:30-7 p.m. Thursday.

Teen programs for students in grades 7-12 and for parents include Beginning Registrati­on for Gingerbrea­d House Workshops for Teens, Parents, and Teachers on Monday.

Programs for adults include Life is Short: Short Story Reading and Discussion Group, 10:30 a.m. to noon Friday; Mah Jongg Practice Session, 10-11:30 a.m. Monday; National Novel Writing Month Write-In (NanoWriMo), 6:30-8 p.m. Monday; Brown Bag Lunch: Celebratin­g 40 Years with the Saratoga Springs Preservati­on Foundation, noon to 1 p.m. Thursday.

Computer classes continue this week with MS Word and MS Excel 2016; Intro to Apple iPads and iPhones; Intro to Adobe Photoshop Elements; Please Go Away! Planning Your Vacation Online; MS Publisher 2016; Half-Hour Computer or Device Help One- on- One Sessions; Dropbox for Beginners; Computer Crafts; and Social Networking: Intro to YouTube.
