Kelly not afraid to face problems head-on

-

Meg Kelly is my choice for mayor of Saratoga Springs. She is a forthright leader who is not afraid to face a problem head-on and work on finding a solution that benefits all parties. Meg employs the entrepreneurial and managerial skills she used when she formed The Children’s Theater and as deputy mayor to address problems in an open and transparent manner. She welcomes new ideas and believes in representing all her constituents equally. She works on a problem until she gets results.

As a Saratogian, Meg is proud of her hometown’s unique status as the “city in the country” and wants to balance growth and open space by thoughtful and realistic planning for the city’s future. The Greenbelt Trail, surrounding the city, is a perfect example of a plan that will serve our city not only today but for generations.

Meg understands that workforce housing is critical for our city to enable more people who work in Saratoga Springs to live in the city. She has worked tirelessly on the soon to be built “workforce complex” on South Broadway to address this issue. Meg wants her hometown to continue to be a community that addresses the needs of all of her citizens.

Meg has been endorsed by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Congressman Paul D. Tonko, Mayor Joanne D. Yepsen’s, The Democratic Party, Working Families Party, Women’s Equality Party, Saratoga County Central Labor Council AFL- CIO, Saratoga Area Labor Council, New York State Young Democrats and Eleanor’s Legacy. Please join them in voting for Meg Kelly for mayor. Janet “Bart” Altamari
