Saratoga Springs will benefit from Kelly’s work

-

When I first met Meg Kelly, I was struck by her high quality of character. Since then, my respect and appreciation for her has only grown. She is smart, hard working, and compassionate. And, most importantly, she is the best mother our daughter Egan could ever have.

We will have been married 20 years come February. Since I have known her, she has been consistently committed to Saratoga Springs. She loves this city and its people. When our daughter was little and she wanted to get involved with plays, Meg discovered our city didn’t offer very much for kids. Understanding how the performing arts greatly impact the development of young people, Meg was not just upset by this void, she turned those feelings of disappointment around and focused on solving the problem. That is how Saratoga Children’s Theatre was born. It took a ton of dedication and passion to get it started but it has since then become the most successful children’s theater program in the area, serving thousands of area children.

None of that success surprised me though, Meg took on that challenge like she takes on all challenges. Once she sets a goal, she doesn’t let anything get in her way. She becomes, positive, passionate, energized, and won’t stop til she reaches her goal and perseveres. I know how lucky I am to have her in my life, as my wife, my best friend, and the mother of my child. I believe in order to be a good mayor, you must first be a good person; and Meg is the best person I know. Please consider voting for my wife, Meg Kelly, Nov. 7 so that Saratoga Springs can benefit from her hard work, dedication and proven record of achievement. Douglas C. Mills Saratoga Springs
