Judge Worth familiar with New York state law

-

Judge Gerald Worth has been holding court in Wilton for many years. He is a fine and upstanding judge, respected by attorneys and former judges throughout the county and throughout upstate New York. Until this election cycle, no one has ever questioned his credentials, education, or experience. His opponent is now doing just that.

Judge Worth’s opponent is a newly arrived real estate attorney from Miami, Fla., who has never practiced law in New York, but maintains his law license in Florida. He is publicly making the claim that because he has earned a law degree in Florida that makes him better qualified to be a town justice in the state of New York than Judge Worth.

It is not obvious to me how practicing real estate law in Florida provides any meaningful experience for being a town justice in New York state. To the contrary, Judge Worth is educated in New York law, and has been dealing with New York law for money years.

Judge Worth has the right kind of experience and education required to be a town justice in the state of New York. His opponent may be educated in Florida law, and may currently practice law in Florida, but Wilton is in the state of New York, not Florida.

We need a judge that knows the law in the town of Wilton. Please join me in voting for Judge Gerald Worth on Nov. 7. Rich Devall Wilton
