SARATOGA SPRINGS Barbara Lynett Cudney, 86, of Prestwick Chase and for2017) merly of Lincoln Avenue, passed away suddenly on Tuesday (Nov. 7,

Born on May 15, 1931 in Saratoga Springs, NY, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Mary (Doherty) Lynett and was a lifelong resident. A 1949 graduate of the former St. Peter’s Academy on Broad Regisway, she also attended St. Peter’s Hospital School of Nursing, becoming a tered Nurse in 1952. At that time, she joined the staff at Saratoga Hospital, where she had served as a nurse, primarily in the emerge nm em gen er together cy department, retiring in 1996. She married the love of her life, Sherrill G. “Bunky” Cudney on April 24, 1954. They were bers of the historic Church of St. Peter and both ously volunteere­d as tabulators of the par Be nu rs Pub enjoyed ish’s weekly collection­s for many years. Barbara also served on the church’s reavement committee, was a Eucharisti­c Minister, member of the parish es and participat­ed with the faith sharing groups. She also volunteere­d at the Saratoga Springs lic Library and as a city native, especially working in their Saratoga Room, relating with the city’s history. Barbara was a member and past coor Reto dinator of the monthly tired Nurses Lunch Group. She was also a member of the Nurse’s Health Study since 1976. In addition her dedication to nursing and her church, Barbara and Bunky enjoyed their summertime visits to Wells Beach, Maine, for over 40 years.

In addition to her ents, she was predecease­d by one daughter, Amy Beth Cudney in 1971, her husband “Bunky” in 2011 and one brother, Peter A. Ly2012. nett in

Survivors include three children; Michael G. Cudney and his life partner Keith Kelly of New York City, Timothy E. Cud Christo Stillney of Anchorage, Alaska and Jeanne A. (Timothy) Howe of Gansevoort; three grandsons, Timothy W. and Kyle J. Howe and pher Cudney Kelly; two brothers, Michael (Rose) Lynett in the town of water and David Lynett of Saratoga Springs; several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call from 1 to 4pm Sunday afternoon (Nov. 12, 2017) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway 518-584-5373.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Monday (Nov. 13) in the Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway, by the Rev. Thomas H. Chevalier, pasAve. tor. The Rite of Committal will follow in the family plot at St. Peter’s Cemetery, West
