- Staff report

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. » Saratoga Independent School will host a public information session Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. about its new middle school.

The school announced in March the plan for a middle school with classes for seventhand eighth-grade students.

“To that end, we are developing a timeline for growth that is realistic, fiscally responsible and allows us to remain true to our mission and to the children that we serve,” Board of Trustees President Jesse Schwartz said in a statement in March. “The Board of Trustees thanks our families, faculty and staff for their ongoing support and enthusiasm about the future of our unique and strong school community.”

Information will include curriculum, athletics, fine arts, the school’s advisory and leadership programs and more.

Parents founded Saratoga Independent School in 1991. It’s a New York state chartered private elementary school for children in pre-K through grade six.

The school’s mission is to empower students to become confident learners who are capable of critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork. We strive to equip our students with the knowledge and skills they will need to succeed in an increasingly complex world, while enriching each day of their childhood. We provide students with an environment in which a high priority is placed on respect and caring for one another.
