Saratoga girls beat Columbia
EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. » Dolly Cairns made four 3-pointers and finished with 20 points to lead the Saratoga Springs varsity girls basketball team to a 68-53 Suburban Council road win over Columbia Tuesday night.
Kerry Flaherty and Ashley Rutz added 11 points apiece and Kara Vamvalis had eight points for the Blue Streaks (3-1, 3-2).
Alysia Roldan scored 11 points to lead Columbia (3-2, 4-3) while teammate Lexi Van Vorst had nine and Lauren Obermayer and Lauren Fillien added eight points apiece. AVERIL PARK 66, TROY 35 » Stephanie Jankovic scored a team-high 18 points and EmmaLee Morgan added 14 points for the hosts in a Suburban Council victory.
Makya Chapman scored eight points to lead the Flying Horses. SHENENDEHOWA 86, GUILDERLAND 52» Cam Tooley made foru 3s and scored 21 points for the Plainsmen in a rout. Alex Tudor added 17 points and Catherine Almeida had 11 for Shen.
Valencia Fontennelle-Posson scored 12 points to lead Guilderland.

CBA 68, BALLSTON SPA 52 » Jordan King scored 20 points, Andrew Signor had 18 and Peter O’Toole finished with 11 for the Brothers in the league win. Luke Alteri put up 18 points to lead the Scotties in defeat. TROY 56, AVERILL PARK 45 » Alonzo Alexander made four 3-pointers and finished with 20 points to lead Troy High’s varsity boys basketball team to a 56-45 Suburban Council win over Averill Park Tuesday night.
Troy led by 13 after one quarter and pushed the lead to 15 by halftime.
Latyce Faison added 12 points while Flying Horses teammates Lateef Johnson and Mazaire Merritt both had eight points.
Anthony Germinerio scored a game-high 28 points for the Warriors and Zach Price contributed seven points in the loss. STILLWATER 70, TAMARAC 32 » Brian Mcneil scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, James Galarneau added a career high 14 points and six rebounds for the Warriors in the win. SCHUYLERVILLE 60, JOHNSTOWN 48 » Derek Baldwin scored 17 points to lead four Black Horses players in double figures in a Foothills Council win.
Josh Mason had 16 points for Schuylerville, Stratton Sherman had 11 and Paul Harshbarger finished with 10.
The Black Horses went on a 20-4 third-quarter run to clinch the contest.

SARATOGA SPRINGS 160, SCHENECTADY 109 » The Blue Streaks won eight of nine races they competed in. Michael Masten picked up individual wins in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle for Saratoga Springs (4-1). Mark Gregory, Zac Zwijacz, Nate Marron and Marcus Ortiz also won individual events for Saratoga Springs.

Hunter Chandler had a match-high 253692 for the Blue Streaks in defeat. GUILDERLAND 25, SHENENDEHOWA 7 » Brennon Belding rolled a 255-686 and Mike Westfall hada 233-614 for the Plainsmen in defeat.
The Dutchmen had a 3,869-3,525 edge in total pinfall.
