SCHUYLERVI­LLE Dr. Leo F. Nash, 90, a longtime resident of Schuylervi­lle, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at Wesley Health Care Center surrounded by his family. Born May 8, 1927 in Cambridge, NY he was the son of the late Leo J. and Elizabeth Flynn Nash.

Dr. Nash served with the US Navy from 194547. He was a graduate of University of Buffalo in 1948 and University of Buffalo Dental School in 1954. He had a family dental practice in Schuylervi­lle from 1955-1989. He was a life member of ADA, Dental Society of State of NY, and the Fourth District Dental Society where he was also Editor of the Forth District News Letter, and was a member of the Saratoga County Dental Assoc. He was an honorary life member of K of C Council #1735 and was past Grand Knight. He was a member Right Rev. Msgr. Daniel F. Curtain Assembly Fourth Degree K of C, past member of Schuylervi­lle Lions Club, Old Saratoga American Legion Post #278, former member and past President of Battenkill Country Club. He was an avid road runner and had entered and finished 16 marathons and 453 10K and 5K races. He was an usher and eucharisti­c minister at Notre Dame-Visitation Church in Schuylervi­lle. In addition to his parents, he was predecease­d by brothers, Donald J. Nash and Edward M. Nash. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Edna (Ludwig) Nash; children, John (Carol) Nash, Elizabeth (Paul) Irish, and Thomas (Eileen) Nash; granddaugh­ters, Megan Nash and Carlee Irish; sisters, Helen Ackermann and Janet Aldous; several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Church in Greenwich with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiatin­g. Spring burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4-7pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich.
