PELHAM 2, SARATOGA 2>> Saratoga skated to a tie against visiting Pelham Memorial High School at Cool Insuring Arena Saturday afternoon in non-league action. Gary Blanchard scored the first tying goal from an assist from Ryan Jones in the second period. Zac Ogden scored the game-tying goal midway through the third period. Brad Hoppsley turned back 29 shots in net for the Blue Streaks. Saratoga put 21 shots on Pelham goalie Liam Ronan. LASALLE 5, SHAKER/ COLONIE 1 >> LaSalle honored its veterans and skated away with a 5-1 win Saturday night at Hudson Valley Community College in Section II hockey action. Tom Ryan scored a pair of goals for the Cadets with Jack O’Bryan adding a goal and two assists in the win. Goalie Casey Boone turned back 20 shots on the night. Shaker/Colonie goalie D Molloy stopped 35 shots on the night.

BOYS BASKETBALL

MAPLE HILL 67, RENSSELAER 49 >> A 26-point fourth quarter allowed Maple Hill to pull away from Rensselaer Saturday in Patroon Conference action. A trio of Maple Hill scorers led the way with Rian Jewett scoring a teamhigh 15 points followed by Blake Decker with 14 and Evan Kulpa with 13. Rensselaer was led by Brandon Northrup’s 15 points followed by Zach Herrin with 10. GALWAY 71, HOOSICK VALLEY 49 >> Thor White exploded for a game-high 40 points Saturday with Mike Sowle dropping in another 17 points in the non-league contest. Hoosick Valley was led by Brandon Napoli’s 19 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

MAPLE HILL 43, RENSSELAEA­R 27 >> A 20-point fourth quarter propelled Maple Hills past visiting Renselaer Saturday in Patroon Conference action. Natasha Strock led the Wildcats with 13 points on the day and Lydia Chittenden chipping in nine more. Rensselaer was led Tianna Dewer’s 13 point performanc­e.

BOYS BASKETBALL

SARATOGA 69, BETHLEHEM 44 >> Saratoga Springs held Bethlehem to under 10 points in the opening three quarters Friday night for their 10th straight win. A.J. Lawton and Brian Hart scored a team-high12 points in the win Saratoga. Springs Blue Streaks in extra sessions Friday night in Suburban Council action, 57-53 in overtime. Saratoga was led by Catherine Cairns 18-point night. Bethlehem saw Molly Kirby score 20 points with Julianna Okoniewski dropping in 16 and Maggie Kirby adding 10 on the night.
