Hoosick Falls boys run win streak to 34 straight league games

Staff reports Troy 70, Burnt Hills 54 >> Latyce Faison led Troy with 16 points in victory. In a losing effort fort Burnt Hills, Jared Slovic led the way with six three’s and 20 points. Shenendeho­wa 66, Colonie 54 >> Cameron Tooley led all scorers with 30 for Shenendeho­wa. Aliyah Wright topped Colonie with 22 points in a losing effort. Park) touched second in both the 50 and 100 freestyles with respective times of 27.00 and 57.77, while freshman Colleen Quaglia (East Greenbush, N.Y./Albany Academies) touched second in the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:50.31. For the men, freshman Grant Tinsley Little earned 250.40 points off the one meter board and 208.40 at the three meter height to sweep both events. Juniors Trevor Attile and Carl Nico Laborera, and sophomore Charles Nicholas each captured a victory to lead the men. Attile swam the 100 free in 49.84, Laborera completed the 100 backstroke in 54.37, while Nicholas finished the 100 butterfly in 53.09. Nicholas also swam a second place 50 free time of 22.74, while fellow sophomore Roko Jelavic took second in the 200 and 500 freestyles with respective times of 1:52.03 and 5:13.18. Looking ahead, Saint Rose will spend the next two-plus weeks preparing for the NE10 Championsh­ips that run from Thursday-Sunday, February 8-11 on the WPI campus in Worcester, Mass.
