Search for district chief continues
BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. » The Ballston Spa Central School District Board of Education continues to work with WSWHE BOCES to select the next superintendent of schools.
The posting for the BSCSD Superintendent vacancy closed in January and the Board of Education has reviewed all applications. The board will hold initial interviews with viable candidates later this month.
The semi-finalists will be invited to interview with two advisory groups made up of representatives from BSCSD staff members, students, parent and community groups in early March. The advisory groups will share their feedback with the Board of Education and the Board will then select finalists. Information regarding how to volunteer for the advisory groups has been sent to the representative groups and is posted at www.bscsd.org.
In mid-March, finalists will be invited to spend a day in the district touring the BSCSD facilities and the community. There will be an evening session for all interested members of the school community to hear a presentation from each of the finalists as well as an opportunity to provide feedback. The Board of Education will hold final interviews in late March and anticipates appointment of the successful candidate in April with a July 1 anticipated start date. For more information, contact the BSCSD District Office at (518) 884-7195, Ext. 1310.
