BOYS BOWLING

COLONIAL COUNCIL TOURNAMENT » Lansingbur­gh captured the 2018 Colonial Council Tournament with 3,914 total pins followed by Ravena-Coeymans-Salkirk with 3,910 and Schalmont third with 3,538. Mechanicvi­lle was fourth at 3,413, LaSalle finished fifth with 3,340 and Cohoes was sixth-overall with 3,331. Maple HIll finished seventh with 3,321 pins followed by Catholic Central with 3,011 and Cobleskill-Richmondvi­lle with 2,911.

Maple Hill’s Shawn MIller rolled a 299 for top honors followed by RCS’s Kolton Keeler with a 276 and 275 and Lansingbur­gh’s Grant Laustrup’s 264.

Keeler earned high series honors with his 743 followed by Maple Hills’ Austin Bardin 721 and Laustrup’s 718.

COLONIE 73, COLUMBIA 50 » Colonie bookended its two halves Tuesday night to drop Columbia in Suburban Council action. Isaiah Moll was a scoring machine, dropping 37-points on the Blue Devils with Will Abar chipping in 16 on the night for the Garnet Raiders. Alex Adams led Columbia with a 20-point night and Liam Danaher adding 10 in the loss.

Jon Kempf led the way with a stellar 27-point night, including 16 points in the second quarter. Evan McCart added 13 points on the night with Guy Milliman also in double-figures with 12. Cullen Malone scored a team-high 11 points for the Red Raiders with Luciano D’Ambro chipping in 10 on the night.

The Garnet Raiders jumped out to a 25-7 first quarter lead and held off the Blue Devils for the remainder of the contest. Kyra Triblet chipped in 12 points for Colonie.

Columbia was led by Alexis VanVorst’s 17 ponits with Camryn McHale and Natalie Obermayer adding nine points each.
