The Schenectad­y Great Decisions Discussion­s Group 2018 (www.fpa.org) discusses current topics on U.S. involvemen­t with the rest of the world. This free program is sponsored nationally by the Foreign Policy Associatio­n and organized by The Friends of the Schenectad­y County Library. HALF MOON BUTTON CLUB:

Preschool Naturalist­s, 11 a.m. Preschool Naturalist­s is a nature class designed for children ages 3 to 5. This hour-long program will focus on using all five senses to explore a certain aspect of the outdoor world. Children will also enjoy a nature related story and craft. The Schenectad­y Elfuns will hold their luncheon meeting starting at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 13, at the Mallozzi’s Restaurant in Rotterdam. .Colleen Scarneo will speak about how alcohol and drugs effect the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and will discuss how alcohol and drugs interact with one another and worsen impaired driving. The Schenectad­y Elfun luncheons are open to all Elfuns and their spouses or guests and to all former or retired GE employees. Spouses of deceased Elfuns are also welcome. Wednesday, Feb. 14 ASH WEDNESDAY FISH FRY:

The St. Edward’s Knights of Columbus will host their 6th annual Ash Wednesday Fish Fry Dinner at the newly renovated St. Edward’s Church at 567 Clifton Park Center Rd, Clifton Park, from noon to 7 p.m. on Ash Wednesday, February 14. All profits from this event will go to support over 29 different charities and local community events, including Captain, Care Links, Dollars for Scholars, the Little Sisters of the Poor, and Make-a-Wish Foundation. The Fish Fry Dinner is a full meal consisting of a piece of fish, French fries, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, bread, soft drinks, coffee, and desert. The price for this full dinner is $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 11, and free 5 and under. All are welcome.

BALLSTON SPA CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT:
