Lansingbur­gh, Guilderlan­d wins Class bowling titles

Guilderlan­d captured the Section II Class A team title with 5,990 pins Monday afternoon at Boulevard Lanes in Schenectad­y. The Dutchmen combined for 2,937 pins in the morning session and 3,053 in the afternoon for the top spot among the large schools.

Shenendeho­wa finished second with a 2,853-2,903 5,783 series followed by South Glens Falls with a 2,801-2,910 5,711 series. Columbia High School finished fourth with a 2,707- 2,981 5,688 day and Albany High fifth with a 2,8262,831 5,567 total.

Class A boys Andrew Apollo earned the high triple award with his 702 series followed by Lauren Buess with a 691 and Saratoga Springs’ Hunter with his 676.

Averill Park’s Jahlil Young took high singlegame honors with a 269 followed by Shenendeho­wa’s Mike Westfall with a 268 and Columbia’s Kyle Fortin’s 259.

Lansingbur­g wins B title

Lansingbur­gh captured the Class B bowling title with a team total of 2,9122,919 5,831 pins Tuesday afternoon at Boulevard Bowl. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk was second with 5,648 pins folloed by Johnston with 5,602. Hudson Falls was fourth with 5,288 and Cohoes fifth at 5,282.

Mike Connally led the way for the Knights with his 668-647 1,315 series with Grant Laustrup following with a 618-574 1,182 series with Devyn Riffelbach rolling a 568-579 1,147. Jack Stevens rolled a 520569 1,089 and Codi Genthner followed with a 538-550 1,088 six-game set.

Johnstown’s Garett Way led Class B with a 696 series followed by Cohoes’ Max Suprenant and his 671 followed by Lansingbur­gh’s Mike Connally with a 668.

Voorheesvi­lle’s Matt Flandreau rolled the high single with a 290 followed by Ravena’s Spencer Brown with a 269 and Notre DameBishop Gibbons’ Joey Mattala with a 254. CLASS B TEAM SCORES
