Lans­ing­burgh, Guilder­land wins Class bowl­ing ti­tles

Guilder­land cap­tured the Sec­tion II Class A team ti­tle with 5,990 pins Mon­day af­ter­noon at Boule­vard Lanes in Sch­enec­tady. The Dutch­men com­bined for 2,937 pins in the morn­ing ses­sion and 3,053 in the af­ter­noon for the top spot among the large schools.

Shenen­de­howa fin­ished sec­ond with a 2,853-2,903 5,783 se­ries fol­lowed by South Glens Falls with a 2,801-2,910 5,711 se­ries. Columbia High School fin­ished fourth with a 2,707- 2,981 5,688 day and Al­bany High fifth with a 2,8262,831 5,567 to­tal.

Class A boys An­drew Apollo earned the high triple award with his 702 se­ries fol­lowed by Lau­ren Buess with a 691 and Saratoga Springs’ Hunter with his 676.

Aver­ill Park’s Jahlil Young took high sin­glegame hon­ors with a 269 fol­lowed by Shenen­de­howa’s Mike West­fall with a 268 and Columbia’s Kyle Fortin’s 259.

Lans­ing­burg wins B ti­tle

Lans­ing­burgh cap­tured the Class B bowl­ing ti­tle with a team to­tal of 2,9122,919 5,831 pins Tues­day af­ter­noon at Boule­vard Bowl. Ravena-Coey­mans-Selkirk was sec­ond with 5,648 pins fol­loed by John­ston with 5,602. Hud­son Falls was fourth with 5,288 and Cohoes fifth at 5,282.

Mike Con­nally led the way for the Knights with his 668-647 1,315 se­ries with Grant Laus­trup fol­low­ing with a 618-574 1,182 se­ries with Devyn Rif­fel­bach rolling a 568-579 1,147. Jack Stevens rolled a 520569 1,089 and Codi Gen­th­ner fol­lowed with a 538-550 1,088 six-game set.

John­stown’s Garett Way led Class B with a 696 se­ries fol­lowed by Cohoes’ Max Suprenant and his 671 fol­lowed by Lans­ing­burgh’s Mike Con­nally with a 668.

Voorheesville’s Matt Flan­dreau rolled the high sin­gle with a 290 fol­lowed by Ravena’s Spencer Brown with a 269 and Notre DameBishop Gibbons’ Joey Mat­tala with a 254. CLASS B TEAM SCORES
