Trio charged by police
Arrest warrant for man, cops say
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. » City police said officers arrested three people Thursday at the Homewood Suites on South Broadway.
Police said officers responded to a call at 3 a.m. from Homewood Suites about the well-being of a 22-year-old female. The woman, Sydney J. Robak of Saratoga Springs, informed officers she was staying with 25-year-old Joshua Reed in a rented room.
Police said, at the time, there was an ar- rest warrant for Reed, for alleged menacing in the second degree, a misdemeanor, and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a fel- ony, on an unrelated matter. Officers arrested Reed without incident, police said.
Observations of illegal drug activity in the room led officers to apply for a search warrant for the hotel room, police said.
Over an ounce of a powdered cocaine and other drug sale paraphernalia were seized from the room, police said.
Reed was charged with two felony criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, unlawful possession of marijuana, and the charges from the unrelated matter.
Jordan D. Nichols, 24 of Porters Corners, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh de-
gree, a misdemeanor.
Robak was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor.
Reed was arraigned and committed to Saratoga County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
Nichols and Robak were each issued appearance tickets for their related charges.
