PULMONARY FIBROSIS SUPPORT GROUP: Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) is a rare condition that causes scar tissue to grow inside the lungs. It is estimated that IPF affects approximately 100,000 people in the United States. The cause of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis is unknown. The March meeting of the Saratoga County IPF Support Group will be held Wednesday, March 14, from 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at the Reception Room, 1st floor, 6 Care Lane, Saratoga Springs. The support group is free and open to IPF patients, their family members, friends and caregivers. The Saratoga County support group meets regularly; meetings typically feature an educational presentation as well as discussion with others affected by IPF. BALLSTON SPA BPA: The Ballston Spa Business & Professional Association (BSBPA) will be hosting its 2018 Community Mixer and Annual Meeting on Monday, March 19, at the Next Door Kitchen & Bar, 51 Front Street. The event will celebrate the Association’s 35 years of service to the Ballston Spa community. The Association will also honor outgoing board members and welcome new ones. SARATOGA PLAN: The land trust Saratoga PLAN is hosting two conservation workshops to inform farmers and landowners about options for permanently conserving their lands, accessing or transferring land, and succession planning.
