NYS MILITARY MUSEUM: The New York State Military Museum will host programs that commemorat­e the nation’s centennial of combat operations in World War I and the 50th anniversar­y of the Vietnam War, along with topics of local interest this winter and spring. RECOVERY DINNER/ DANCE: a St. Patrick’s Day Dinner/Dance will be held at the Hillcrest Firehouse, 145 Pryun Hill Road, Mechanicvi­lle. SARATOGA ADAPTIVE ICE SKATING PROGRAM: Differentl­y-abled kids of all ages have been learning and practicing to skate since early January. On March 17 at 2 p.m. at the Weibel Arena in Saratoga Springs, the culminatio­n of all their hard work will be showcased in their Olympic-themed ice show. Skaters, assisted by volunteers, will show off their newly acquired skills and demonstrat­e some fancy group footwork. The public is invited free of charge to cheer the skaters and volunteers on. WHO RESCUED WHO: Come to Fuccillo Nissan at 976 New Loudon Road in Latham between noon and 4 p.m. on March 18 and meet the birds! WILTON WILDLIFE PRESERVE: Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park’s volunteer meeting will recap recent activities and discuss new opportunit­ies for community involvemen­t as well as programs and events coming up at the Preserve & Park.
