LENTEN FISH FRY: The Knights of Columbus supports local Catholic Schools, provides meals to veterans’ homes every week throughout the year, and cooks for Code Blue weekly during the cold months. OPERA-TO-GO: Opera Saratoga’s Opera-to-Go production­s allow students to experience the thrill of opera - up close and personal. Opera Saratoga’s production of “The Ugly Duckling” is a retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s beloved fairy tale, with an original score by composer Andrew Duncan, feature soprano Carter Tholl, mezzo soprano Raphaella Medina, tenor Jordan Pitts, and baritone Nicholas Martorano. Brian Gilling serves as the music director and pianist. In addition to Opera Saratoga’s in-school performanc­es, free public performanc­es of “The Ugly Duckling” ensure families throughout the region have access to opera. A performanc­e will be held on March 30 at 2 p.m. at Schuylervi­lle Public Library, 52 Ferry Street, Schuylervi­lle. SARATOGA SPA STATE PARK: Mineral Springs Tour, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Join a docent on a guided mineral springs tour to learn about the history, geology and lore surroundin­g our special waters! STATIONS OF THE CROSS: St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Saratoga Springs will hold its second annual Stations of the Cross procession at 5 p.m. on Good Friday, March 30. The walk will start and end at the church, 149 Lake Ave. Immediatel­y afterward, the cross will be erected in front of the church followed by a worship service at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to participat­e in the procession. What a Savior!” eeply moving and meaningful Tenebrae worship service that journeys with Christ from his triumphal entry into Jerusalem to the desolation of his final hours on the cross, will be presented by the Choir of The First Presbyteri­an Church of Ballston Spa under the direction of Eve Kenyon at 7 p.m. on Good Friday, March 30.
