Carl Danna: father, friend, educator, librarian, writer, poet, editor, actor, humanitarian, environmentalist, and progressive-thinker, died on March 26, 2018 surrounded by loving family. Carl was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 25, 1930. He was a military veteran, lifelong educator and entertainer with over 30 years in the classroom and 50 plus years on stage. He will be forever remembered by all he touched with his generosity and selflessness. The self-proclaimed “British Commando” and “Tarzan” was unique. Carl was a talented, intelligent, fun and silly man who loved traveling, food, dancing, and above all, the company of others. Carl is predeceased by his parents, Domenic and Lucia; sisters, Josephine and Libby; and his daughter, Susan. Survivors include his children; Stephen Danna (Laura), Janice Danna (Charlie Zumpano), Laura Munisteri (Chris), Peter Danna (Dee) and Kristen Murphy (Sean); 10 grandchildren; former wife, Mary Danna; and dear friend, Susan Hansen. All of his descendants inherited his vast intellect, stunning good looks, quick humor, and roguish charm. A Celebration of Life will be held for all family and friends at the Saratoga Springs Arts Center at 320 Broadway on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 5:00-8:00PM.
