SARATOGA SPRINGS - George A. Harrington died Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in Saratoga Hospital, Saratoga Springs, NY. He was born on July 7, 1938 and is the son of the late Paul and Edna Harrington of Hartford, NY. George graduated from Bentley College of Accounting and served in the US Army, stationed in Seoul, Korea. He married Barbara Clough of Salem, NY on September 26, 1964. He was employed by MetLife Insurance Company, and the Saratoga Springs school system. George was an active member of the Presbyteri­an New England Congregati­onal Church of Saratoga Springs, The American Legion, and the VFW. George is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara, his children; Cheryl Wise and husband Andrew of Saratoga Springs, Cerise Boucher and husband Rob of Castleton, VT, and Gregory Harrington and wife Leena of Austin, TX, brothers; Charles Harrington and wife Audrey of Hartford, NY and Donald Harrington and wife Carol of Glens Falls, NY. He is also survived by his beloved grandchild­ren; Hanna, Alexandria, Josephine, Andrianna, Tessa, Samuel, Carly, Reya, and Neisha, and several nieces and nephews. The family is thankful for the care given to George by Dr. DelGiacco, Dr. Laddis, Dr. Burchell, and the 2 Springs staff at the Wesley Community. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the youth program at the Presbyteri­an New England Congressio­nal Church, 24 Circular Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 8:30am - 10:00am at the Presbyteri­an New England Congregati­onal Church, 24 Circular Street, Saratoga Springs. A funeral service will immediatel­y follow at 10:00am, co-celebrated by Rev. Kate Forer, Senior Pastor and Rev. Jay Ekman, Pastor Emeritus. Burial with military honors will take place at 11:30am at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylervi­lle, NY.
