Free kids Foal Patrol event 10 a.m. to noon
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. » The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame is hosting a special family-friendly celebration of Foal Patrol and unveiling of the new Foal Patrol Coloring Book by artist Sharon Crute. Admission is free and all children in attendance will receive a complimentary coloring book. There will be snacks, giveaways and a variety of fun and educational activities featuring mares and foals and the educational concepts of Foal Patrol.
Activities include a guided exploration of the Foal Patrol website on iPads to learn about the fun and educational aspects of Foal Patrol and our new partner, Godolphin Kids
The New York Thoroughbred Breeding and Development Fund, who sponsored a portion of the coloring books, will be on hand and there will be a mare and foal in the museum’s parking lot for children to meet and learn about from 11 a.m. to noon (weather permitting)

Gallery: Groom a lifesized horse, explore the many different shoes a thoroughbred may wear, dress in jockey attire, and investigate objects related to the many careers associated with horse racing
Learn about the parts of a horse next to our REAL thoroughbred skeleton with the museum’s education curator in the Anatomy Gallery
A life size maze in the Hall of Fame Gallery, help the foal find the mare. Paint a horse in the Hall of Fame Gallery along with snack tables with water, carrots, apples, peppermints and granola bars-- snacks fit for a horse.
