DEFENSIVE DRIVING
CLASS: On Saturday April 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. there will be a New York State approved Defensive Driving class. Save 10% on your base auto insurance for the next three years & receive up to 4 points off your driving record according to New York State Department of Motor Vehicle guidelines. The class will be held at First Baptist Church, 45 Washington Street, Saratoga Springs. Fee $35; Bring a friend $30 each. A portion of the fee goes to First Baptist Church. FREE SWIM CLINIC: The Regional Therapy Center of Saratoga Hospital and the Saratoga Regional YMCA will offer a free swim clinic for competitive high school swimmers, adult swimmers, and triathletes to assess posture, flexibility, and strength of swimmers, and provide swim techniques to reduce risk of injury. Regional Therapy Center physical and occupational therapists will join Ann Svenson, Master Swimmer and Total Immersion Coach, to provide participants with verbal and written assessments. HALFMOON PAPER SHREDDING: The Town of Halfmoon Highway Department and 3N Document Destruction will host a Town Paper Shredding Day for Halfmoon Residents on Saturday, April 7, from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., at the Halfmoon Highway Department located at 322 Route 146. Town Residents may bring up to a maximum of 3 bags/boxes of sensitive documents to be shredded, such as bank statements, credit card records, tax bills and other documents with personally identifiable information. There is no cost for shredding, although residents are asked to bring at least one canned item or more for donation to a local pantry for each box or bag of documents.
