BLUE NEEDS YOU: Code Blue Saratoga holds their fourth annual ‘Blue Needs You’ 8K Run and Kids Fun Run fundraiser, presented by Fingerpaint and Vincent, Patty, Ronald and Michele Riggi, on Saturday, April 14, starting at High Rock Park in beautiful downtown Saratoga Springs. A free 400 meter Kids Fun Run, beginning at 7:55 a.m., is being held for children up to 10 years old. All participants will receive an award. The Blue Needs You 8k Run winds through the beautiful and historic East Side of Saratoga Springs, starting at 8:30 a.m. on High Rock Avenue. MARCH FOR SCIENCE: The March for Science, a nationwide movement advocating for evidencebased science policies that serve all communities, will have its second annual event in the Capital Region on Saturday, April 14, which is Citizen Science Day. The Albany March for Science is a family-friendly celebration of science and rally for science-based policy. The event will feature local scientists who apply science to improving our understanding of social issues. In addition to speeches and a 0.6 mile march through the New York State capital, the event will feature numerous familyfriendly hands-on science activities like Meet a Scientist, which sends kids on a scavenger hunt to meet and talk to scientists at the march. Using hands-on activities, the medical students will teach the children about general health, good nutritional habits and basic medical procedures.
