BARBARA “OOLIE” J. HAVENS

Barbara “Oolie” J. Havens, age 70, of Whiting NJ, & formerly of Elmer NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Aristacare in Whiting. She was born in Saratoga Springs NY on November 30, 1947. She married Oliver “Bud” Havens, Jr. (her soulmate) in 1970 & the couple has 3 daughters. Oolie was a proud homemaker & lived for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family playing cards & board games, especially scrabble. She also liked bowling, making different crafts & in her later years found a love for reading. She was always there for others, had a huge heart & was extremely giving, baking brownies for all she knew. Oolie was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, greatgrandmother & friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Barbara is predeceased by her father Fred Bull. She leaves behind her adored husband Oliver “Bud” Havens, Jr. of Whiting NJ; 3 daughters, Candi Havens of Wilmington DE, Tasha Fernandez (Randy) of New Egypt NJ & Joy Havens of Metuchen NJ; 4 grandchildren Tori, Lexi, Jesse & Alexa; 2 greatgrandchildren Olivia & Erin; her mother Barbara Bull of Saratoga Springs NY; 6 siblings, George Bull (Diane), Grace Ferris (John), Fred Bull (Patty), Nancy Foote (Rene), Patti Massey (Tom Olsen), & Jan Cullen (Rory); along with several extended family & friends. Relatives & friends are invited to gather on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 1PM to 5PM & again on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 11AM to 12PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533. A funeral service will be held at 4PM on Sunday. Interment will be held at 12:30PM on Monday, April 23, 2018 at the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown NJ.
