PLANT AND BAKE SALE: The Southern Saratoga Garden Club will hold its annual Plant and Bake Sale on Friday, June 1, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at 8 Berkshire Drive, Sherwood Forest, Clifton Park. The sale will feature a wide variety of shade and sun perennials, specimen hostas, handmade ornaments for the garden plus homemade baked goods. The sale provides a scholarship for a Shenendehowa graduate continuing their education in any area of horticulture and a gift to Wiawaka Women’s Retreat at Lake George. Call 518-695-6641 for more information. SENIOR TRAVELING BBQ: The Saratoga County Office for the Aging sponsors the Senior Nutrition Program in Saratoga County. The summer Traveling BBQ, hosted by the Saratoga County Office for the Aging and Northeast Dining & Lodging, comes to the Waterford Senior Community Center, 125 Second Street, on June 1. Reservations are required by noon the day before. A registration form must be completed by each participant annually. Participants will receive a monthly contribution letter; the suggested donation is $2 per meal. No food or drink items can be taken to go. WISWALL PARK FREE MOVIES: Free movies in Wiswall Park are back for the eleventh summer in a row, presented by the Ballston Spa Business and Professional Association, as part of its monthly First Friday activities. The series begins on June 1 (rain date June 2) with “Despicable Me 3,” projected onto the wall of the Front Street Deli building on Front Street at approximately dusk. All screenings are free. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. Movie snacks will be available, courtesy of North Star Church. Before the movies, families are encouraged to stroll to downtown shops, restaurants, museums and other venues participating in First Friday from 6 p.m - 9 p.m.
