BARK, BREW & TATTOO: Join Saratoga Adventures at Bark, Brew & Tattoo on Saturday, June 16, from noon to 6 p.m. at the Saratoga City Center to stand in solidarity for every misunderstood Pit Bull, each kindhearted Bulldog, and all the Bully breeds whose false reputations should no longer precede them. Organizers’ mission is to educate the public about the kindhearted nature of our Bully friends while raising money for local animal shelters and NEADS World Class Service Dogs, an organization which provides service dogs for veterans at no cost. Featuring educational booths, many local breweries, several professional tattoo artists, and various vendors, you can “bark” your support while you “brew” and maybe get inked a time or two. All funds raised from ticket sales, vendors, and tattoo booths will benefit the shelters and NEADS. Your well-behaved, leashed, four-legged family members are welcome. BENNINGTON BATTLEFIELD: Historian Michael Gabriel will deliver a presentation entitled “Trophies and Loot: After the Battle of Bennington” on June 16 at 11 a.m. at Bennington Battlefield State Historic Site on NY-67. He will explore the idea of plunder during the Revolutionary War and discuss examples from the Battle of Bennington. CONOR CRUISERS AUTO SHOW: Fundraiser for the newly established Conor Bradshaw Memorial Scholarship, will go to a Galway High School graduate who is a B-average student and wants to pursue a STEM career. KARNER BLUE BUTTERFLY WALK: The endangered Karner blue butterfly has two broods every summer. The first brood should emerge late in May and the second in early July. Take a look on the Old Gick Farm Trail for adults that are searching for nectar and mates in the open meadows. The 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. walks will be cancelled if it is raining. Each walk lasts for about an hour. Please park in the lot by the Saratoga Sandplains Sign on Route 50 half a mile north of King Road. Registration is strongly encouraged. Karner Blue Butterfly Walks will be held Wednesdays through June 27. BALLSTON SPA FARMERS’ MARKET: The Ballston Spa Farmers’ Market, sponsored by the Ballston Spa Business and Professional Association (BSBPA), resumes Saturday, June 16 and and runs Thursdays from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon through September 29 in Wiswall Park, at the corner of Front Street and Low Street. The market features 100% locally grown produce, farm fresh agricultural products, flowers, herbs, baked goods, custom blended spices, dressings, marinades, handcrafted jewelry, and more.
