CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. » A new type of pizzeria is set to open in Saratoga County with the debut of Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza.

The state’s 11th Blaze FastFire’d Pizza is expected to open Thursday, followed by a Free Pizza Day on Friday.

The 3,000-square-foot open kitchen restaurant is located at 11 Clifton Country Rd., right next to CoreLife Eatery, another recent addition to the local dining scene.

Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza is known for its quickly prepared artisanal pizzas. Since starting in 2012 in California, the company has been serving artisanal pies that are both fast and affordable. Each restaurant features an interactive open kitchen format that allows guests to customize one of the menu’s generously sized personal signature pizzas or create their own, all for around $8.

Every pizza features our made-from-scratch dough crafted in house daily, all-natural meats and vegetables, and is finished in an open flame oven which cooks pizzas in three minutes flat.

For guests with special dietary needs, Blaze offers glutenfree dough, vegan cheese, animal rennet free dairy and treenut free pesto.

Each of these elements have assisted the brand with becoming the fastest-growing restaurant chain it is today, a news release said.

To celebrate the opening of the company’s newest locallyowned and operated Clifton Park restaurant, anyone who visits Blaze’s new location from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 22 and follows the brand on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook will receive a free build-yourown pizza.

Other menu items at Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza include freshlymade salads, blood orange lemonade, ice-cold beer and s’more pie desserts.

“Our mission at Blaze is really simple – we’re taking pizza back to its roots,” said Jim Mizes, president and CEO of Blaze Pizza, in a press release. “By making dough in-house,

using carefully sourced ingredients, and cooking by fire, we’re giving guests a great way to enjoy artisanal pizza without the wait. It’s changing the way people think about and eat pizza.”

Blaze’s attention to detail extends well beyond the food, the release said. Driven by its commitment to “Intelligent Choices for Our Pizzas, People & Planet,” the Clifton Park restaurant is constructed with recycled and sustainable materials, uses ecofriendly packaging, and features energy-efficient LED lighting.

Blaze Pizza is looking forward to building strong roots within the Clifton Park community. The local restaurant has developed a turn-key in-restaurant fundraiser program that returns 20 percent of an event’s proceeds back to local organizations, and will be partnering with local schools, sports clubs and other organizations to host fundraising events. The Clifton Park restaurant will also create 45 jobs locally.

Blaze Pizza franchisee Michael Hoover said in the release, “We are thrilled to open Blaze Pizza in the Clifton Park community. Clifton Park has a great reputation of being known for great people, and a strong community, we are grateful to be a part of the wonderful community culture. We thank the Clifton Park people for welcoming and embracing Blaze Pizza!”
